Early September is when U.S. college swimming and diving programs finalize and publish their upcoming season schedules. This week several schools — UCLA, UNC Asheville, West Virginia, SMU, Air Force and Miami — announced their 2026-27 slates, with most opening competition in early October. Separately, the American Swimming Coaches Association named Virginia's Todd DeSorbo its 2026 George Haines Coach of the Year.
