Background
Big Brother 28's eighth week featured a medieval-themed twist for the show's 1,000th episode, producing two evictions in one week. Haley Thogmartin went out first in that twist. For the second eviction, HOH Drew Campbell initially nominated LaTrice "Lala" Verrett, Yash Patel and Taylor Brown; Yash won the Power of Veto and saved himself, and Rick Devens volunteered as the replacement nominee. Devens then won the BB Blockbuster competition to remove himself from danger, leaving Lala and Taylor on the block for the live vote.
