Background
The Solheim Cup is the biennial match-play competition between 12-player teams from the U.S. and Europe, and the 2026 edition is the 20th playing and the first held in the Netherlands. The U.S. leads the all-time series 11-7-1 and is the defending champion after a 15½-12½ win in Virginia in 2024, though Europe has won or retained three of the last four editions. Europe has won five of its seven Solheim Cup titles on home soil, and the U.S. has not won on European soil since 2015.
