- Sep 15, 2026 20:00Owen Ndlovu was hijacked and kidnapped while collecting his wife, Portia, from a church service in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni; three unknown men, one reportedly armed with a firearm, pushed her aside and forced him into the back seat of his Ford Raptor bakkie, then drove off.
- Sep 16, 2026Ndlovu's body was found by residents in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni, on Wednesday morning; residents reported he had sustained gunshot wounds and his bag was found a few metres away. The family confirmed his death in a statement, and Portia Ndlovu identified his body at the mortuary.
- Sep 16, 2026The hijacked Ford Raptor was later recovered abandoned in Walkerville, south of Johannesburg, reportedly stripped. Police said a postmortem would be conducted to establish the cause of death, the Germiston Trio Unit is investigating a case of murder, and police in Katlehong launched a manhunt for three suspects.
