In 2019 Indonesia's Djarum Group, owned by the Hartono brothers, bought the club while it was in Serie D, Italy's fourth tier. Cesc Fàbregas arrived in 2022 as a player and shareholder, later becoming head coach, and under him Como returned to Serie A in 2024, finished fourth in 2025-26, and qualified for the Champions League for the first time.
