Background
LaunchVideo is a project that uses Claude Opus 5.5 to write an HTML animation, then renders it deterministically with Playwright and ffmpeg via a serverless agent. It builds on Deedy's demonstration that Opus 5.5 could write instructional videos as code, turning that into a product. The model call is roughly 90,000 input tokens and 15,000 output tokens per film, most of it the HTML itself, and each job runs in a fresh microVM destroyed after the job. The project is open source on GitHub and can be deployed to an OpenComputer account with one click.
