Background
Manifest is the sci-fi series created by Jeff Rake that NBC premiered in 2018, following passengers of a flight from Jamaica to New York who land to find more than five years had passed. NBC cancelled it after three seasons in June 2021, and Netflix stepped in to save it, running a fourth season in two parts through 2023. Netflix announced the spin-off, Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery, on 828 Day in late August 2026; Rake returns as co-creator and co-showrunner alongside former Manifest co-executive producers Margaret Easley and Laura Putney, with Robert Zemeckis executive producing through Compari Entertainment.
