Background
The teaser for Luca Guadagnino's "Artificial" shows Andrew Garfield as Sam Altman, dramatizing November 2023, when Altman was abruptly removed as OpenAI's CEO before returning days later. Amazon MGM dropped the nearly completed film in June, shortly after Amazon announced a major investment in OpenAI, and NEON acquired it. Garfield also has "The Uprising," a Paul Greengrass medieval drama inspired by the Peasants' Revolt of 1381, which arrived on digital platforms September 29.
