It aims to standardize an open software stack for RISC-V industrial machines.
How it unfolded
- 2024 -10The RVA23 profile was ratified, making the hypervisor and vector extensions mandatory.
- 2025 -03DARE (Digital Autonomy with RISC-V in Europe) launched with EuroHPC backing — 38 partners across 13 countries, coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
- 2026First RVA23 SoCs and boards became available, with eight 64-bit cores and an IOMMU; ERICI starts.
