Colorado voters weigh ousting Boebert
The gist
Democrat Eileen Laubacher led Boebert 51% to 46% in early results in Colorado's 4th District.
The race in Colorado's most conservative district could unseat a nationally known Republican.
How it unfolded
- 2020Boebert defeated incumbent GOP Rep. Scott Tipton in the 3rd Congressional District primary with 54.6% of the vote, the first time in Colorado since 1972 that an incumbent congressman was unseated by someone in his own party.
- 2022Boebert won reelection in the 3rd District by only 546 votes, the closest U.S. House race in the country that year.
- 2024Boebert moved across the state from Rifle to Windsor and won the 4th Congressional District seat after clearing a wide primary field, by a far smaller margin than her predecessors.
