WWE wrestler Tatum Paxley wins first main-roster title with Alexa Bliss
The gist
Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss beat Fatal Influence on SmackDown to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.
It is Paxley's first main-roster title, a week before she defended WWE's signing strategy.
How it unfolded
- Oct 9, 2026Paxley and Charlotte Flair were scheduled to challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles, but Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin attacked Flair backstage; Flair, favoring her left shoulder, was not cleared by medical personnel and SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis also stopped it.
- Oct 9, 2026Flair insisted Bliss take her spot and Bliss ultimately agreed; Bliss and Paxley then defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) to become new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, with Paxley hitting Henley with Cemetery Drive for the win.
- Oct 14, 2026On Off The Ropes, Paxley said her Cemetery Drive finisher was inspired by World of Stardom Champion Suzu Suzuki and reflected on winning the tag titles with Bliss.
