The Georgia Lottery Corp. is the state lottery, which has returned more than $31.3 billion to the state for education since its inception. Its proceeds fund programs including the HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program, benefiting more than 2.3 million scholarship recipients and more than 2.3 million 4-year-olds in prekindergarten. The run of mid-October wins comes as the multi-state Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots climbed into the hundreds of millions.
